Derived from a German phrase that means coupe-light, the Mercedes Benz CL-Class is a series of full-sized luxury cars first introduced in the year 1992. Sharing the platform with the S-Class series, the CL-Class highly resembles the S-Class in terms of development cycle. The only main difference is that the CL-Class was designed with a short wheelbase. Despite minimal physical changes over the course of its production, the CL-Class is successful in getting the attention of car enthusiasts because of its luxurious features and powerful engine types. Powered by either V8 or V12 engines that have different capacities, the models under the series deliver maximum power and performance. They were also designed with different transmissions, including 4-speed, 5-speed and 7-speed systems. A coupe made for modern-day driving, the Mercedes Benz CL-Class model can effortlessly make head turns once it takes on the road.
