Generally, trucks meant for hauling cargo are classified by load capacity into small, medium and large. Others include trucks trailers with special shapes and specifications.
In general, trucks that are 2 tons and lower are classified as small trucks. The normal shape is as follows.
A generic truck with a flat loading platform.
A truck with an aluminum box-type loading platform. This allows for more protection from rain and wind that a flat-body. Currently this is the most common type of truck.

Equipped with refrigeration, this truck can act as a refrigerator or freezer. It is suitable for transporting frozen or fresh items.
Trucks in the 4-ton range are generally called medium trucks. There is a large difference in the load capacity of these trucks depending on the shape and equipment. The most common configuration is as follows.
This is the generic, flatbed truck. The bed is light, so you can generally ensure a load capacity of 4 tons or more. There is no roof, so loading and unloading are easy. (Those without attached cranes.)
This truck has an aluminum box-type cargo hold. This protects the cargo from the elements. However, due to the weight of the body the maximum load comes out toless than 4 tons.

This truck has a loading platform covered by a hood. This is lighter than the average wing car and has the benefit of being able to carry more cargo.
Trucks in the 10-ton range are generally called medium trucks. There is a large difference in the load capacity of these trucks depending on the shape and equipment. The most common configuration is as follows.
A generic truck with a flat loading platform. It can load 11 to 15 tons.
A truck with an aluminum box-type loading platform. This allows for more protection from rain and wind that a flat-body.
The front of this truck can be lifted, so soil and gravel can be easily dumped.

This truck is for transporting granular material like flour, fertilizer, or sugar. When unloading, the material is poured out of an air-powered hose.
This truck is for transporting compressed hydrogen. Hydrogen is the lightest gas on earth, so even when full the weight is approximately 200kg.
This truck is for transporting concrete. The cargo hold rotates to prevent the concrete from hardening. A special feature is the shortness of one rotation.
This is for garbage pick-up. It has a compression system so that as much garbage can be collected as possible.

holds cargo is the trailer. Also, the part that pulls the trailer is called the tractor or the head. One tractor is capable of pulling multiple trailers of different shapes, so it's possible to efficiently move cargo.
The most common is the semi trailer. Combined with the tractor, the general length is less than 16.5 meters.

This trailer transports heavy equipment like excavators and bulldozers.
A trailer for carrying long objects. Depending on the cargo, the poles can be extended or retracted.
