In 1989, Hiace 100s went on for sale. There were three body types; standard, long and super long as well as standard roof and high roof. There were two types of the floor as well, one being standard with floor arches and the other without floor arches called "Just Low". There were four types for the number of occupants, 2/5 people, 3 people, 3/6 people and 3/6/9 people. Powertrain consists of 1RZ, 1RZ-E, 2RZ-E gasoline engines and 2L, 3L and 5L diesel engines. They were matched with the choice of 2WD or 4WD. DX grade comes with unpainted black bumpers and mirrors as well as wheels without hubcaps. GL grade comes with pained bumpers as well as chromed side mirrors. 4WD models are fitted with 6-hole wheels and 2WD with 5-hole wheels.
