The current Prado 150 series is only a wheelbase 5-door car for the Japanese market by integrating with the chassis that has been used since the second generation that appeared in 1996 with the Hilux Surf.
A total of 6 types have been released, including 3 types with a 4L V6 engine and 3 types with a 2.7L straight-four engine.
The original Prado 150 series engine released in 2009 was a 2.7 direct-four engine and a 4LV6 gasoline engine, but with the improvement in June 2015, the 4LV6 engine was abolished. Instead, it is equipped with a 2.8L direct clean diesel engine for the first time in about 7 years, and the combined mission is multi-staged with a 6-speed AT, improving fuel efficiency.
