Toyota Tsusho Corporation ("Toyota Tsusho") announced today that it will begin operating TOYOTA TSUSHO AUCTION ("TTA"), a service providing information on used car auctions, on October 8, with the aim of expanding export for the used car market in emerging countries, including those in Africa.
In operating TTA, Toyota Tsusho will connect information on vehicles listed at auto auctions held by its domestic partners via Toyota Tsusho's system to Carused.jp, the e-commerce site of Carpaydiem Co., Ltd. ("Carpaydiem"), a group company engaged in the used car export business. This makes it possible for overseas customers to view information on vehicles listed at auto auctions provided by TTA via Carused.jp and make bidding requests and purchases.

The used car market is expanding in emerging countries, including those in Africa. Demand for used vehicles imported from Japan is particularly strong and is expected to continue to increase.
